About the Conference
The Powder Metallurgy Association of India (PMAI), an association of Indian and overseas powder metallurgy professionals from industry, research institutions and academia, is conducting its annual international conference for 2027 in Hyderabad.
The conference will bring together experts and researchers from industry and academia to discuss developments in powder metallurgy and particulate materials. The concurrent 52nd Annual Technical Meeting of PMAI provides a platform for researchers from industry and academia to present their work.

Submission Guidelines
Extended Abstract Submission
Extended abstracts of 1,000 words, with a maximum of 2 figures, are invited for oral presentations.
Submissions are to be made electronically and online only through the PM27 conference website.
Submission deadline: 01 January 2027
Abstract Acceptance
Authors will be notified of abstract acceptance by the date announced in the brochure.
Acceptance notification: 31 January 2027
Accepted abstracts from authors who are registered delegates will be published in the conference guide and distributed to attendees.
Complete Paper Submission
Authors must submit the complete paper by 10 February 2027.
Only complete papers received by the deadline and presented at the conference will be published in the transactions of PMAI after peer review and will be eligible for awards.
Proceedings & Publication
The brochure states that peer-reviewed papers will be published in Scopus/WeS index proceedings.
Accepted abstracts from registered delegates will appear in the conference guide. Publication of complete papers is subject to peer review and presentation at the conference.

Registration Notes
- Speakers are required to register as delegates.
- Certificates of participation will be issued on request only to participants who attend the conference.
- Students from adjoining colleges studying Metallurgy, Material Science and Mechanical Engineering may attend technical sessions free of fees on 26 February 2027 (third day).

Exhibition & Sponsorship
The exhibition is open to the public. Pre-fabricated stalls are available to sponsors, PM parts manufacturers, and suppliers of materials, services and equipment to the PM industry.
Exhibition Facilities
- Each standard stall includes 3 spotlights, one 220 VAC single-phase 6 Amp power outlet, one table, two chairs and one dustbin.
- Additional exhibition space may be availed at extra cost.
- Heavy machinery can be exhibited at additional cost.
- Exhibitors will be listed in the conference guide and are entitled to two free delegate registrations.
- Exhibition is scheduled for 24–26 February 2027. Booths are reserved for sponsors on a first-come, first-served basis.

PMAI Best Product Awards
Awards recognize PM products—raw materials, equipment, processes and PM parts—developed in India and in commercial production.
Submission deadline: 15 February 2027. Detailed product descriptions and photographs/figures must be submitted. PM parts must be on display to qualify.
Accommodation & Transportation
Accommodation
Air-conditioned rooms are available at the IIT Guest House, adjacent to the Convention Centre (approximately 20 metres), for single or double occupancy.
Discounted rates range from ₹2,500 to ₹5,000 depending on room type. Rooms will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis. Hostel accommodation will be made available for student participants.
Airport & Local Transport
Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (HYD), Hyderabad, handles domestic and international flights and has connections to Indian cities and international airports.
Pre-paid taxis are available. The brochure estimates the fare to the venue at approximately ₹1,400 one way (about USD 15–20).
Weather
February in Hyderabad is generally pleasant, with temperatures ranging from approximately 17°C to 30°C. Rain is not generally expected at this time.
